Be sure to stop by Lund’s Fly Shop in River Falls, WI and thank owner Brian Smoliniski for his generous donation to help our veterans.
Brian is an excellent resource for all of your Rush and Kinni rivers information and fly selection.
This year we have teamed with Project Healing Waters, a part 501(c)(3) organization, to aid in the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and tying education and outings.
Through our passion, we hope to financially aid Project Healing Waters and other organizations that help our Heroes in their healing process.
From Project Healing Waters: The Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program provides basic fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying and rod building classes, along with clinics participants ranging from beginners who have never fished before, to those with prior fly fishing and tying experience who are adapting their skills to their new abilities. All fly fishing and tying equipment is provided to the participants at no cost. Fishing trips, both one day and multi-day, are also provided free of charge to participants.

Casting4Heroes was established as a way to use our passion, fly fishing, to help our nation’s heroes recover from injuries received while supporting our freedoms. Our heroes (veterans, police, fire and rescue personnel), through several organizations we wish to support, deserve everything we can give. Our hope is that Casting4Heroes can be your way to financially aid the programs currently helping those in need. This year we have teamed with Project Healing Waters to aid in the rehabilitation of injured veterans.
